JR/SR Baseball clinic
Just added to the winter clinic schedule is the Boys Jr / Sr baseball practice. It will be held on Saturdays from 4pm to 6pm. PLEASE NOTE that it will not start until January 12th.

Clinic Schedule!
Come one,
Come all! If your child is between the
ages of 4-16 and resides in the Coxsackie-Athens School District, then you
belong to our Little League! Baseball and
Softball season can’t start soon enough!
From January 5th until mid-March, we invite you to join us at
the Athens Community Center gym, at 2 First St. in Athens. Past coaches will be on hand to warm kids up
and teach the fundamentals of: hitting,
throwing, fielding, catching and pitching.
Guest coaches from the school will also stop by! Participation is free; sign-in at the door. *Parents/Guardians must remain present* (Jr
& Sr Baseball clinics for ages 13-16 will be announced at a later time)
Saturdays:
10am-12pm - Baseball for ages 9-12
12pm-2pm - Softball Minors & Majors (ages 7-12)
2pm-4pm - Softball Juniors & Seniors (ages 13-16)
Sundays:
12pm-2pm- Tball (boys & girls ages 4-6)
2pm-4pm – Baseball (coach pitch) ages 6-8
10am-12pm - Baseball for ages 9-12
12pm-2pm - Softball Minors & Majors (ages 7-12)

Fall Field Clean-up
Weather permitting, the Athens Little League will be having a fall clean up day
at Rainey field on Sunday, September 30 starting at 9 am. This is a great
opportunity for families to contribute to the little league by volunteering for
a couple of hours. Athens Little League operates year round and is a 100%
volunteer organization that depends on communitywide involvement. We hope to
see you there!

Upcoming Annual Meeting and Elections
Dear Athens Little League Volunteers
Please be advised of the upcoming Annual meeting and elections.
September 15 is the annual meeting and nominations for the board of directors. 9:00am
September 22 is the elections for the board of directors. 10:00am - 11:00am
Anyone interested in running for the board of directors must have been an active participant in the Athens Little league 2012 season, have filled out a volunteer form, and must either be at the annual or submit a letter of interest, to the secretary, prior to the September 15 meeting.

Awards Picnic Postponed
Due to the weather, the awards picnic has been postponed until tomorrow, Sunday the 29th. Weather permitting then, it will be at the Athens pool at 4 pm. If it is raining it will most likely be at the Athens Fire House, still at the same time.
